Hardware Design Capabilities
MDS has over
25 years design experience with digital, analog, and motion control systems. This includes FPGA, multiprocessor, embedded processor designs, and analog interfaces. We have designed Intel and
Motorola based
systems using the i86, PowerPC, and various microcontrollers. These designs
have included network and memory interfaces,
as well as various I/O standards.
MDS has also
designed stepper motor interfaces, ADC's, DAC's, signal buffers, level converters, power regulators, sensor interfaces for position,
heat, and light sources, and
other functions. We have brought several of these designs through FCC Class A and B certification testing using Nemko, a local FCC, CSA, and TUV
certified test agency.
MDS uses industry-standard
tools such as VHDL for programmable logic design, OrCAD's
Capture for schematic capture and netlist generation, OrCAD's Layout for PCB design, and ModelSim and PSpice for simulation. We also have established relationships with PCB fabricators and can supply short lead time working prototypes.
MDS can also provide mechanical and packaging design using our network of proven contacts.

Software Design Capabilities
MDS would not
be a complete solution provider if we not able to provide software support for our hardware capabilities. We have in-house C++ and assembly language capabilities necessary to support all our hardware designs. Our language of choice is naturally C++, but there is that occasional situation where down-and-dirty,
low level assembly language programming is required. MDS can provide both.
Our Network of Contract Designers
Given today's sophisticated level of designs,
no single source can meet all needs. In the course of meeting
our clients needs, MDS has developed a network of independent
contractors that can provide mechanical and packaging design services.
MDS uses these contacts to assure the optimum
design is delivered to our clients.
